Since November 2021 I am employed as Process Engineer at Baker Hughes - IET Plant&Module Business Unit. I am mainly involved in the design, commissioning and start-up activities of LNG liquefaction plants. In the period September 2020 - November 2021 I was employed as Process Engineer in “Estimates, Process and Technology” department at TM.I.P. in La Spezia. The main activity was related to the design of chemical plants regarding environmental protection and solvent recovery. In the period May-September 2020 I obtained a research grant at the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Pisa. The research activity focused on "Analysis of cascading events triggered by natural events and sabotage in the process industry: quantitative assessment of domino effects".
Main activities: - Static and dynamic process simulations (Unisim/Hysys) - P&ID, PFD, MDD, PSD - H&MB - Pressure drops and Hydraulic calculations - Main equipment design and sizing (i.e. columns, vessels, pumps, scrubbers, heat exchangers, etc.) - Equipment and instrumentation process datasheets - Blowdown report and PSV sizing - Process operating manual - Process control philosophy and description - Partecipating and contributing to design and safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, LOPA, etc.) - Commissioning & Start-up activities Focus on (see Projects links section below): • Mid-Scale LNG Liquefaction plants NPD Activities: • Low-Enthalpy Geothermal plant • CO2 Liquefaction plant • FPSO combined cycle plant • Medium scale deflaring plant • Industrial Heat Pumps
Focus on: • Solvent recovery plants: - Distillation units - Adsorption units • Flue Gas treatment plants: - Dry process - Semi-dry process - Wet process • Thermal Oxidizers units: - Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers - Direct Fired Thermal Oxidizers - Recuperative Thermal Oxidizers
