My employment experience in A*STAR, Stronghold Diagnostic Laboratory has allowed me to be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced working environment and to handle infectious samples with high cautious and excellent precision. I have performed RNA extraction, qPCR reagent preparation, PCR for COVID-19 diagnostic testing and operated machinery as outlined in my resume. I have a vast experience in various laboratory techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Franz Cell Diffusion, Bacterial Cell culture, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Immunoblotting/Western Blotting, Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), calculation of drug pharmacokinetics, and DNA & RNA extraction.
• Procedures such as preparing RNA extraction buffers and qPCR master mix using multi-channel pipettes, manual addition of controls, running the RNA extraction process and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) were done for covid testing • Operated on Bio Rapid Automated Valence Engine (BRAVE), Robotic liquid handler (MGI machines) and High-throughput robotic RNA extraction system • All testing required full PPE, N95 respirators and in a BSL-2 lab • LIMS system was also used in recording, reporting and analyzing data
