I have a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate in Business Management. I drive safety compliance in Packaging production lines 7, especially on production machines. Compliance of legals like Lifting equipment and Calibration of beer Filler flowmeters, Filtration beer flowmeter, Filler beer Masenailan control valve, Filler CO2 Control valves, and Calibration of Conductivity meter for Filler & CIP. Prior being a Maintenance Planner I was employed as a Team Leader at the SAB soft drink division. Downtime reconciliation for Packaging production machines on daily, weekly, monthly and Quarterly basis, this helps in tracking machine efficiency and assists in identifying opportunities to improve machine performance and biggest issues or hitters that might need focus improvement. I am also responsible for initiation of problem solving resulting from breakdowns and driving loop closure of the actions identified during problem solving, this is done through planning and sourcing of spares were required. I also ensure that new maintenance package is loaded on SAP and frequently updated or reviewed to ensure it covers all machine components. Cost management is one of the major KPI’s that I am accountable for, this includes machine budgets for weekly maintenance and annual shutdown. I also manage shutdown planning and execution for Packaging production lines. The planning entails internal artisans (machine specialists), production crew, and engagements with OEMs’ (Original Equipment Manufacturers) which builds on relationship I have with supplier (OEM). I manage Permit-To-Work compliance. I train and manage Autonomous Maintenance and then track compliance. The following are my responsibilities: Pre-Maintenance meeting, Kick-off meeting, Post-Maintenance meeting, running and non-running maintenance schedules, shutdown planning, problem-solving sessions, cost management and sustainable development.
Responsibilities Manage equipment retrofit projects and shutdowns. Manage safety compliance – responsible for safety inspections. Manage maintenance execution, budget and ensure cost effectiveness. Manage maintenance that is getting executed by vendors and contractors. Establish processes and procedures to improve the equipment performance. Manage repairs and maintenance of three beverages production lines, syrup room and sugar silos. Responsible for audit gaps closure in the department. Manage engineering spares and min and max quantities to be kept. Organize, monitor compliance and lead in problem solving. Downtime reconciliation per production line, per machine and develop action plan
