To contribute to the implementation of the Horizon Europe Programme, with a particular focus on cooperation in the different sea basins through using research and innovation policy, also with a view for innovative and holistic implementation of the Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030. To work with various DGs and executive agencies, other EU institutions, Member States, regions, and also with international partners for cooperation to contribute to a successful EU marine and maritime research and innovation policy in the different sea basins.

For the Joint Programming Initiative Healthy and Productive Seas and Oceans (JPI Oceans) I was in charge of Strategic programming / Innovation agenda / Maritime technologies • Project Management of the FP7 Coordinated and Support Action "Healthy and Productive Seas and Oceans" (CSA Oceans) (FP7-SST-2012-RTD-1) - Grant agreement no: 314194; • Development of the Strategic and Research Innovation Agenda and the establishment of the first two pilot projects of JPI Oceans • EU policy liaison with the Commission services, RTD, ENER, MARE and ENV; • EU policy advice and support to the secretariat of the JPI Oceans;
Strategic Consulting, including business plan & EU public affairs strategy development. Business development strategy analysis / formulation and implementation Impact assessments for the European Commission Sectors covered: Sustainable energy projects, supply chain for green technologies (e.g. bottlenecks such as silicon for PV, rare earths materials for wind turbine (e.g. neodymium), specialised vessels / platforms for offshore wind), globalisation and trade issues related to green technologies and subsidies.
