I spent 21 years successfully climbing the corporate ladder in financial services. Worked across three continents. Made MD at a global bank. Led a lot of people and managed P&Ls of billions. I've also burned out 1.5 times. Ten years in, I burned out spectacularly. The kind of packed up my job, packed up my husband, moved us to the other side of the world burned out. After 18 months in a completely different company and environment, I could feel the warning signs. This was my ".5". At the time I was going to quit altogether, but I was lucky enough to be introduced to an executive coach. Despite my cynicism, she taught me about resilience, and the three pillars upon which it sits - physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing, and connected wellbeing. So I rebuilt. Inside the same system. New foundations for my body, my energy, my identity. Then I kept climbing, all the way to the C-suite. That rebuild is the work I now do with clients. Because most senior leaders don't have the option (or the appetite) to walk away from a career they've spent two decades building. They need to perform at the top and stay human while they do it. While working full time in banking, I first trained as a personal trainer. Running bootcamps (remember them!?) on the beaches of Sydney before cycling into work to manage risk and compliance for the bank. Following that, I trained as an organisational and executive coach and co-founded a coaching circles programme that has now trained over 34,000 executives. Now I run two companies built around what I learned. Transform | Perform is my peak performance coaching practice, with both 1:1 and leadership training focussed on energy management, career strategy, and making the most of the ~4,000 weeks we get in this life. Maia Health is the company I co-founded to transform midlife for women. 51% of the global population go through perimenopause and menopause, and the current system doesn't set them up for success. We combine cutting edge technology with the human touch of our clinicians and concierge coaches to bring clarity and empathy to the changes we're all going to go through if we live long enough.
