I am a Business Growth Advisor working for the Department for Business and Trade. I provide free, impartial support to companies who are looking to export their product/service for the first time, or expand into existing markets.
Providing export advice and support to SMEs and Mid Sized businesses within the Coventry, Warwickshire, Birmingham and Solihull region to help them either export for the first time or expand into existing markets.

Provided export advice and support to SME businesses within the Black Country region to help them either start exporting for the first time or to expand their existing international markets.
Currently lecturing on ‘Employability’ module to 2nd year Undergraduate students for the Department for Marketing, Innovation, Leisure and Enterprise. The module aims to encourage and support students who wish to take a year out from their degree to do a work placement for 12 months. I prepare, develop and deliver training materials on various associated topics.
Worked on the Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise Network (KEEN), which offers opportunities for SMEs within the West Midlands to have a graduate working for them. My role included attending exhibitions to market the project to SMEs and Graduates such as career fairs, visiting SMEs to see how the project can support them, prepare for ERDF audits, dealing with finance, maintaining and monitoring the SME files, collaborating with the University partners such as Coventry, BCU, Aston, Staffordshire etc whilst ensuring that the project targets are being met.
Based at two West Midlands Chambers of Commerce, I worked on an ERDF Research funded project called 'SME Internationalisation', which was a grant to support SME's who wished to export in a new market. My role involved collaborating with SME's within my region, working with the International Trade Advisors to ensure that the clients are eligible for ERDF funding and are at a level ready to start exporting and so forth.
