Reviewed ICSRs for consistency of data in the global safety database. Performed quality control of IBs after they were converted from the Wyeth template to the Pfizer template. Copyedited and, as necessary, rewrote test questions for qualifying/certification examinations in the specialty fields of orthopedic surgery and veterinary medicine. Maintained the pool of test questions to ensure currency and consistency of style and coding. Served as primary note taker during committee meetings (during which test questions were critiqued and revised). Accomplishments include the following: • Received excellent performance evaluations shortly after hire and after 1 year. • Mentored less experienced editors after several months on the job.
(Formerly Hanley & Belfus) Copyedited, sized figures, proofread, coordinated authors’/editors’ corrections, maintained front matter, collected permissions, indexed, oversaw print quantities, did advertising layouts, and approved bluelines, working directly with authors, editors, typesetters, ad sales personnel, and printers to ensure timely publication. Also assisted in the preparation of publisher's reports for sponsoring societies' editorial board meetings (and sometimes presented the reports at the meetings). Accomplishments include the following: • Received regular positive feedback from supervisors, authors, and journal editors. • Increased ad sales by providing journal content-based leads to ad sales personnel. • Oversaw production of 6 journals during transition from H&B to Elsevier.
