The Secretary serves as a pivotal officer within the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN), primarily responsible for preserving the organization's institutional memory and ensuring procedural integrity. The role is distinct in that it is an appointed position rather than one elected by the general membership. The Secretary is a voting member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.
Providing expertise in the field of healthcare simulation, nursing and higher education, as well as curriculum development and instructional technology (including use of generative AI tools). Primary clients are those interested in this expertise.
The purpose of the FCN-WAB is to provide advice to the Florida Center for Nursing (FCN) Board of Directors on policy matters related to the well-being of current and future nurses in Florida. As a member of the statewide, multidisciplinary FCN-WAB, will directly impact the nursing workforce by: โข recommending changes, including strategies for implementation to improve nurse wellbeing, โข providing vision and strategy to increase the impact of FCN's long-term efforts related to the well-being of the nursing workforce, and โข providing advice on policy matters to the FCN Board of Directors.
