About

Experienced Chemistry Lecturer | Published Scientist | Private Tutor I am an experienced Chemistry lecturer with over 10 years of teaching students aged 16 and above. My academic and teaching journey spans both classroom and one-to-one environments, with a proven track record of helping students progress into competitive pathways such as medicine, pharmacy, and other science-based degrees. Alongside teaching, I have experience as an A Level examiner and have delivered intensive revision and Chemistry Bootcamp sessions for organisations such as Physics & Maths Tutor (PMT) and Aston University. My background includes placements in both industrial and academic research environments, including time at Procter & Gamble (FMCG sector) and top-tier university labs. I hold an undergraduate Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Huddersfield, where I completed research projects in catalysis (organic and physical/inorganic). I then pursued postgraduate research at the University of Birmingham, specialising in fuel cell catalysis. This work led to a publication in ACS Catalysis and allowed me to expand my teaching and mentoring skills at a higher level. I’m passionate about making Chemistry accessible, inspiring scientific curiosity, and supporting student wellbeing and success.
