I offer more than 25 years’ experience in intelligence, risk, cyber, governance and leadership across the public and private sectors. Identified practical solutions across all related functions, including HR, Legal, Operational ICT and Finance, and improved inter-agency collaboration. ✓ Risk Management: Delivered a functional fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk Framework at the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission. ✓ Consulting: Developed a compliance effectiveness framework for a coalition of state Fisheries agencies, which effectively shifted the focus from compliance to the preservation of a shared resource. ✓ Speaker & Expert: Provided a security framework and policy for the academic team researching intelligence at the University of Melbourne. Due to the innovative framework developed, subsequently invited to present at an Intelligence Conference in Italy (pre COVID-19). ✓ Australian Intelligence: Co-author of an intelligence effectiveness framework adopted by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Forum and across multiple agencies and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to evaluate Australia’s intelligence community in 2017.     Invited to establish a security protocol and to increase security awareness to support academics working closely with intelligence agencies and to advise and improve understanding on the practical and theoretical aspects of intelligence work. • Delivered the first security framework and policy for an academic team researching intelligence. Project completed on time and to a very high standard, attracting substantial praise from the Director and a subsequent invitation to present at an Intelligence conference in Italy 2020 (pre-COVID-19). • Provided expert input into the Hunt Challenge 2020, an analytic open source crowdsourcing tournament with the SWARM Platform funded by the US Intelligence Advanced Research Project Activity. Focussed on producing the best analytical reasoning on complex yet realistic problems. • Supported academics on the practical and theoretical aspects of intelligence work, including the development of a tailored training program for critical thinking training, contribution to the development of a Hunt Lab strategy in working with industry, and sourcing new avenues for potential funding.

    Appointed to lead strategy, risk and inter-agency agreement functions, with the role subsequently expanded to oversee the audit function including as Chief Audit Executive. • Lowered risk across the organisation with a functional, fit for purpose Enterprise Risk Framework. Led a full review and redraft and created a usable suite of tools allowing for use by all functions and staff levels. • Identified a number of substantial unidentified organised crime risks that impacted on the National Police Checking Service. • Introduced ‘health check’ audits, with the proposal ensuring an improved use of limited resources on mandatory audits, without impact on risk or compliance. New health check audits achieved within just 5 days, using 50% less resources.
