Responsible for the management of multiple European projects funded under the Horizon Europe Programme. Engaged in areas concerning artificial intelligence within the healthcare and urban mobility sectors.
As the senior project manager for the Interdisciplanary Circular Centre for Mineral-based Construction Materials (ICEC-MCM), I was responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the Centre and worked closely with the project team to co-ordinate, monitor and facilitate the research and outreach activities. I led on the development of communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, the Equality Diversity and Inclusion strategy and the reporting and monitoring strategy. I also supported the organisation of workshops and events for the ICEC-MCM in collaboration with the communications officer. I acted as the first point of contact and assistance for enquiries from the funding body, the wider team of collaborators, and external interested parties.
In this role, I managed the overall project, handling both the network management and governance and the network activities. I was responsible for the planning and monitoring of the project activities against the programme, I developed and maintained project documents such as reporting and budgets, and I organised all the project meetings. As part of the role, I also coordinated the allocation of a £1M flexi-fund. This included preparing two funding competitions, advertising the calls, dealing with enquiries and applications, coordinating the peer-review process, issuing contracts to successful teams, monitoring performance and collating performance and impact information. Finally I organised with our comms officer a number of online and in-person events (up to 150 attendees) to facilitate knowledge exchange across the network.
