I'm a writer, story teller and learner-centered instructional designer with an M.S.Ed. in Instructional Technology and over fifteen years of experience designing, writing and editing self-paced online courses for diverse audiences. I've designed and written curricula for a variety of projects and lent my writing, research and QA skills to many others. My consultant work with Brookdale Senior Living supported their tablet-based patient intake and care planning training program winning the 2014 Best of the Best/Clinical Category in the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) awards. In my role with Colorado's Department of Early Childhood, I led the design and development of the very first hybrid course - Medication Administration Training - to be published on the Colorado Shines Professional Development Information System (PDIS). In the years since, I've designed, storyboarded, developed (or managed the development of) numerous other courses, as well as managed the process of translating these courses into Spanish and Arabic in order to better serve our diverse early childhood workforce. Worked with cohort to establish overall design and functionality of CSE’s Student Organization Advisor training course in Blackboard Learn, creating a clear, cohesive user experience Consulted with project lead and SMEs in developing a storyboard for Inclusive Practices module, to empower advisors to lead student officers in creating diverse and inclusive organizations Designed content and storyboard for Event Planning module, highlighting key issues and providing necessary resources for advisors to guide student leaders through the event planning process

Little Planet was a technology-based eLearning company that created self-paced and instructor-led training for a variety of clients including NASA, Eli Lilly, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and more. It was founded by former Hollywood sound engineer Bill Nelson with Dr. John Bransford, a leading cognitive scientist at Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN, providing the core learning theory used in the training. During my time at LP, I routinely coordinated with SMEs and collaborated with design teams to: Create an $875,000 challenge-based learning program to train new hires of the Tennessee Department of Human Services Perform research and provide quality assurance for a $1.5 million immersive foreign language curriculum for U.S Army Intelligence Determine learner needs, outline lesson objectives and develop effective story-lines for Eli Lilly's scenario-based course in Good Clinical Practices Additionally, I: Led development of a Lilly Workforce and Diversity curriculum, designed to inform audiences of the changing demographics of Lilly’s workforce and marketplace and build critical thinking and decision making skills consistent with effective, inclusive leadership Proofread and copy edited storyboards for Eli Lilly's Good Clinical Practices, ensuring clarity to increase learner understanding of each stage of the clinical trial process Managed multimedia development, including coordinating voice casting and audio recording of written scripts, for an $80,000 Microsoft project designed to engage audiences and highlight the benefits of Microsoft’s key virtualization solutions Coordinated with Hill-Rom trainers to develop an interactive online course to train sales associates on the most effective technology solutions for caregivers and patients in hospital Critical Care and Med-Surg units
