Kinship + Craft was an independently-run online publication dedicated to celebrating the personal and process-oriented stories of artists, designers, and makers from around the world. During its run, it provided intimate interviews and material spotlight features that focused on the inspirations, material explorations, and background stories of creatives working with various materials. As an extension of this, Kinship + Craft collaborated with makers when it could to provide their interviews in multiple languages. Although the primary language on the website and social media channels is English, Kinship + Craft provided translated versions of several of its interviews, including Dutch, Traditional Chinese, German, and Spanish. Our goal was to tell stories to inspire creativity, encourage curiosity, and celebrate the diversity of ways of making, cultures, and people in the world.
