Responsible for the overall care and husbandry of over 300 animals including domestics and exotics. Manage a team of keepers including schedule, communication, records, tasks and reviews. Provide educational animal presentations and keeper talks to the public from large crowds to small groups. Part of a team responsible for zoo PR, including organizing social media posts, monthly newsletters, event and fundraiser promotion, and responding to comments, messages and emails. Extensive use of ZIMS record keeping and daily documentation of animal care and enrichment. Experience administering and documenting medications and administering subcutaneous fluids for a mountain lion. Knowledge and execution of operant and classical conditioning training techniques. Active participant in a 72-hour fire evacuation.
