About

I retired from Lehigh University (25+ years of service). Over the course of my previous business career, I acquired more than 39 years of combined experience in customer service, accounting, marketing, budgeting, computer skills, internet skills, higher education, social media skills, office management, caring for others....and the list goes one. My business and personal background is so diverse!! Each job I worked at gave me more insight into how to work with others and increased my skill set. EXPERIENCE.....PRICELESS! I am now in the next phase of my life - ministering to others as a Minister/Chaplain. I wear many ministry hats at my church - called to help in the area of CARE Ministry. I also preach on occasion and officiate at weddings and at funerals/memorial services. I am also a Mobile Pennsylvania Notary...helping those folks who are home-bound or in the hospital. If I can BE OF HELP with a loved one who needs a document notarized, please contact me. WHAT SETS ME APART? I HONESTLY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE! I encounter many people during the day. It is important TO ME that each one is treated with love, respect, and in a caring manner. Relationships are important to all facets of our life whether at work, home, or our personal lives. Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I am a Minister at St. Johns Church Morgan Hill, Easton, Pennsylvania. (I serve under the mentorship of Rev. Blake Heffner and Rev. Paul Leonard). I assist with pastoral care (hospital/nursing home visits) occasionally speak/encourage, funerals, weddings, counseling or whatever else is needed to minister to the people who attend St. John's Church and BEYOND. I try to lead with a servant's heart just like Jesus did! I find such joy in serving others in this manner. If you look up the word "minister"....it basically means "attend to the needs of". That's how I look at this position (calling). I am hoping to use the gifts God has given me...both spiritually...and naturally. If you feel I can of help to you please contact me at [email protected] (I just recently retired (April 2019) from working at Lehigh University for over 25 years.)

  • Senior Caretaker at Senior Caretaker
    1997 - 2020 · 23 yrs

I've been taking care of my mom now...for the last 22 years. The last 10 years....she has been a resident of Fellowship Community in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. (www.FellowshipCommunity.com) (I highly recommend Fellowship Community!) When my father passed away in 1997 I became the sibling who looked after mom. I made sure her bills were paid, checkbook balanced, and small maintenance projects taken care of at her house. I often grabbed a paintbrush or hammer and took care of the project myself (dad would have been proud of me!) I helped her stay in her home as long as she could. That's all what most folks want! An unforeseen fall required that she be admitted into an assisted living facility. Ever since then I still look after her needs...but in a different manner. Visits, eating dinner with her, taking a strawberry sundae (from Friendlys) to her to enjoy, buying and washing her clothes, getting her a good book/magazine to read, spending holidays with her, and just generally making sure all worries are put on me. I just want her to enjoy her new home and not worry about anything. These past 20 years have been an opportunity for me to repay my mother for all the love and kindness she has shown me. Mom...thanks for all you have done for me! Twenty years looking after mom.....PRICELESS!!!

  • Office Coordinator, Federal & State Relations at Lehigh University
    Dec 2001 - Apr 2019 · 17 yrs 5 mos

(I retired from Lehigh University on April 3, 2019.) My main goal was to make my bosses and Lehigh look good!!! I did that by doing the below: -Plan and coordinate high profile events with congressional staff, typically creating an event from scratch, and coordinating with multiple internal and external constituents. Liaison for federal and state agencies administrative and executive staff with regards to events, meetings held on campus. Coordinate logistical arrangements with external speakers. Identify and secure appropriate location. - Project a professional image when interacting with state and federal agencies, industry partners and institutions of higher education, students, faculty, staff, visitors and vendors via telephone, e-mail, personal correspondence, in-person, and fax (texting if need be). Confidentiality very important in this job. - Design layout and graphics for Power Point presentations. - Provide admin support for the Associate Vice President of Government Relations and Assistant Vice President for State Relations. I arrange complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries and compile documents for travel related meetings. I manage both of their calendars. - Oversee the day-to-day organization of functions of the office including keeping track of the budget. - Search the internet for information and material for assigned projects - independently. - Lehigh is VERY ADVANCED in the world of technology. Staff are expected to KEEP UP with changes that are necessary (texting, social media, Windows10, etc) - Experienced at supervising others. SUMMARY OF MY DAY IN OUR OFFICE: 1) Was never the same. The complexity of the day varied. Each day brought new opportunities. Many new faces; many new jobs to tackle! 2) Most of what I did was "behind the scenes". 3) I was willing to do what was necessary to make this office run well... whether it's talking to a Congressman's Office or taking out the garbage.
