Linda Wang holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Beijing, China. Recognized as an Outstanding Young Teacher in Beijing, she served as a teacher and Department Director in the Social Work Department at Beijing Youth Politics College. Alongside her full-time educational role, she practiced as a Social Service and Psychology Counselor in local communities and contributed as an Orientation Adviser for the college's International Student Committee. In 2008, Linda joined the Peel Multicultural Council as a Settlement Services Counselor, later transitioning to her current role as Community Connections Coordinator. She excels at building professional networks, offering Canadian job seekers insights into their desired fields, and guiding them toward realistic career paths to achieve their goals. Linda is actively involved with diverse ethnic groups and community initiatives. Her leadership roles include serving as a Chinese Advisory Council Member for the United Way of Peel Region, Co-Chair of the Peel Chinese Inter-Agency Network, and a Steering Committee Member for the Region of Peel Immigration Web Portal. She also serves as a Professional Advisory Council (PAC) Member for Sheridan College’s Social Service Worker Gerontology Program. Linda is deeply committed to supporting immigrants and refugees as they settle, adapt, and integrate into Canadian society. In addition to her community work, Linda brings eight years of experience from Statistics Canada. She has worked as a Mandarin Language Instructor for the Toronto District School Board and currently teaches part-time with the Peel District School Board. She is also a certified Mandarin-English interpreter.
Recruit volunteers, professionals, and train them to be the professional mentors to newcomer job seekers. Orient newcomer professionals to understand how to set up realistic career goal and put the foot into the door. Develop and plan the program projects and organize activities/events.
