I created Karuna to make effective skincare simple because of my personal childhood experience suffering from eczema. My doctor prescribed an ointment and instructed me to wrap the rash with plastic wrap to push the medicine deeper. Within days, the rash was gone. While traveling to Asia working as a fashion buyer (Guess, Bebe, AE), I discovered sheet masks and knew instantly the masks would work the same way as my doctor’s eczema treatment. I started to test hand-picked natural ingredients and fabrics to uncover the most visible results for skin. Just like that, Karuna was born! Karuna Skin was founded in 2009 with the commitment to offer complete skin care solutions with clean formulations. As the first sheet mask brand in the US, Karuna is the innovator and leader of frustration-free skincare. We believe in healthy skin starts with hydration, the Holy Grail and the foundation for everything we create. While we’ve traditionally been known as a sheet mask company, that’s all about to change! Throughout 2019, we’re launching multiple daily skincare product essentials, building off our clean beauty line and bringing everyday meaning our consumers.
