Linda Jarvin, Ph.D., is the President of Paris College of Art (Paris, France), a private institution of higher education offering programs in English to prepare students from across the world for US-accredited Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the arts and design fields. She also serves as CEO of Accent Global Learning, a trusted partner for US universities to designing academic programs in a variety of disciplines in six European locations. She received her PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Paris V (France) and her postdoctoral training at Yale University (USA). She has held faculty positions at Yale University’s psychology department (1999-2006), Yale University’s School of Medicine (2006-2008), Tufts University’s Department of Education (2006-2011) and Tufts University’s School of Veterinary Medicine (2011-2019). In addition to higher education management, she has extensive experience with higher education program development, designing and implementing professional development opportunities, and facilitating programmatic evaluation. She also has 20 years’ experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale health and education programs in sub-Saharan Africa. Her research focuses on the evaluation and development of human potential.

Paris College of Art (www.paris.edu) is an independent, accredited institution of higher education offering American Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in art and design disciplines. Responsible for overseeing all academic programs, accreditation, admissions and recruitment policies, the office of the Registrar, and developing new degree programs and other course offerings (including continuing education and summer programs). Managing a faculty of about 100 permanent and temporary instructors. Doubled the number of accredited degrees that PCA offers, and expanded to the Master’s level. Remain actively involved in conducting and publishing educational research.
Assist the Monitoring & Evaluation team in the RESPOND component of the Emerging Pandemics Threats Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The aim of RESPOND is improve the capacity of countries in high-risk areas to respond to outbreaks of emergent zoonotic diseases that can be transmitted between animals and humans, such as Ebola.
Founding director of Tufts University's Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT, http://celt.tufts.edu/), a University-wide resource for faculty development. It supports faculty in their multiple roles as teachers, researchers, and members of the Tufts community. CELT champions teaching innovation and faculty excellence by offering workshops and seminars on teaching innovation and assessment; individual consultations on teaching and educational research; and professional development opportunities for academic leaders. Responsible for developing programs and assisting with curriculum review and assessment across the University’s different schools (dental medicine, engineering, medicine, nutrition, and veterinary medicine, among others).
Securing grant funding for conducting research with a focus on designing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of educational interventions in a wide range of settings, including K-12 and higher education in the United States and Africa. Responsible for training educators and disseminating findings to different audiences (funders, policy-makers, and scholars). Supervising student research. Assisting with developing and validating new admissions criteria in the School of Arts & Sciences.
Managed a research group of up to 30 postdoctoral fellows, research scientist, and research assistants, entirely funded by federal and private grants. Secured funding, managed budgets and conducted research on the effectiveness of educational interventions in a wide range of settings, including K-12 and higher education in the United States and Africa. Projects also included developing and validating alternative forms of national assessments such as the Advanced Placement and SAT exams.
