About

This has been a stimulating journey. My varied communications portfolio includes advertising campaigns, art and environment projects for TV, programme management at the United Nations, science journalism at Down To Earth magazine, and dissemination activities. The first decade was spent in advertising agencies: writing copy, handling campaigns and training creative teams. An exposure to grassroots projects prompted a switch to development communications. Throughout my career, I have also contributed occasional articles to print and web magazines, writing features on issues of governance in cinema, the impact of plastics, and runaway children. Now I occupy myself with writing poetry and doing art projects. Curators of my writing: Alipore Post, Bangalore; Archives, Pune; Authors Press, India; Black Bough Poetry, Wales; Blank Rune Press, Melbourne; Brown Critique, Pondicherry; Borderless Journal, USA, Cappucino Adda, Bombay; Clarion, Delhi/Kolkata; Dark n Light Zine, Geneva, Deccan Herald, Bangalore; Down To Earth, Delhi; EKL Review, Kolkata; East India Story, Shillong; Everest, Delhi; Hawakal, Kolkata; Himal Southasian, Colombo/Kathmandu; Humanscape, Bombay; Husk, Melbourne; IDRC, Delhi; Impermanent Earth, Zurich/USA; ISEC, Bangalore; Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Bombay; KashmirLit magazine, Srinagar; Muse India, Delhi; Narrow Road Literary Journal, Lucknow; Plants & Poetry, USA; Red River Press, Delhi/Assam; Rhythm Divine Poets, Kolkata; RIC Journal, Jaipur/Paris; Sandbox Collective, Bangalore; Setu Bilingual, Pittsburg; Shot Glass Journal, Ontario; Speaking Tiger, Delhi; The Sunflower Collective, Delhi; The Alternative, Bangalore; UK Arts Humanities Research Council & Universities of Plymouth and Nottingham Trent, UK; Usawa Literary Journal, Bombay; Variety Pack, UK; Womanic, USA/India; Yuva, Bombay; YAWP little magazine, Barak Valley; Yogaclicks, Norfolk, UK; Yugen Quest Review, Bombay.
