About

Previously, I worked in process engineering and quality engineering in Micron Technology and REC Solar. During my time in these positions, I observed numerous opportunities where coding could be employed to automate and streamline processes. I also encountered situations where coding knowledge was required in order for timelines to be met and to tackle manpower constraints. These experiences led me to conclude that coding is an essential skill that I should possess. In 2023, motivated by my desire to make a positive impact and embrace new challenges, I took up a Python course to acquire foundational programming skills. While tackling the assignments and projects in the course, I found that even though the course was challenging, the thinking process felt very natural and enjoyable for me, and sparked my interest in programming. After completing the Python course, I decided to take a leap of faith to pursue programming more seriously. To further increase my skill set and marketability, I signed up for a full-time coding course hosted by General Assembly. These experiences have only served to further ignite my passion to pursue coding as a career. I am excited to apply my analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities in the software development industry. I am committed to continuous learning, and I am exploring additional coding courses and personal projects to further enhance my skills.

Experience

  • Software Developer at RAiD (RSAF Agile innovation Digital)
    Aug 2024 - Present · 1 yr 11 mos

    - added feature flag functionality allowing user groups to view/hide features on a duty scheduling web application for RSAF personnel - converted a legacy single-tenant authorization framework to a multi-tenant model with customizable, fine-grained permissions per user, enforcing the principle of least privilege across roles and organizational units in a duty scheduling web application for RSAF personnel

  • Data Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services
    May 2024 - Aug 2024 · 4 mos

  • REC Solar (Full-time · 3 yrs 4 mos)
    • Quality Assurance Engineer
      Oct 2020 - Sep 2022 · 2 yrs

      • Optimized the incoming glass inspection process by implementing glass warpage measurement when sampling incoming glass, resulting in a 20% reduction in manufacturing tool downtime. • Conducted periodic supplier quality audits, resulting in a 10% increase in supplier conformance to specifications • Coordinated stakeholder expectations for manufacturing, processes, and procurement, working closely with relevant personnel to reduce production downtime when incoming material anomalies occurred.

    • Quality Assurance Engineer
      Oct 2020 - Sep 2022 · 2 yrs

    • Process Engineer
      Jun 2019 - Oct 2020 · 1 yr 5 mos

      • Took charge of PECVD SiN tray deposition process and stabilized process by working hand in hand with equipment counterpart. Minimized unscheduled and premature periodic maintenance occurrences for 8 tools, decreasing the frequency from approximately twice a week to once a month for all tools. • Improved solar cell efficiency by 5% optimizing the anti-reflective coating process through the use of DOE screening design

  • Process Engineer at Micron Technology
    Sep 2015 - Jan 2019 · 3 yrs 5 mos

    • Performed daily process monitoring for Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) tungsten processes by ensuring that process charts are on target. • Qualified new LAM Altus Tungsten & LAM Vector AHM tools for process start-up for a new wafer fabrication plant • Collaborated in cost reduction projects for LAM Altus Tungsten by reducing WF6 & H2 deposition times, resulting in cost savings of 240k annually. • Spearheaded the optimization of the LAM Altus Tungsten Coolfill clean process, increasing equipment manufacturing availability (MA) by 5%. I also took up additional responsibilities as an Area Quality Coordinator and achieved the following. • Reduced CVD wafer scrap numbers from an average of 40 wafers per week to 10 wafers per week. This was achieved through close collaboration with equipment and process owners to come up with feasible ideas to reduce wafer scrap numbers. • Familiar with the use of 5 Why methodology to determine specific & systemic root causes of an issue, allowing precise solutions to be implemented for resolution. • Directly responsible for information sharing of excursions from other Micron Fabs with the relevant stakeholders to reduce wafer deviation and scrap incidents
