Wei Jiet is a trial & appellate lawyer with more than 40 reported judgments. He has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of the Malaysian Courts, and is versed in arbitration proceedings. Wei Jiet is ranked in LexisNexis’ 40 Under 40 Asia List for 2025, which recognises the Asia Pacific region's elite lawyers under 40. He was a finalist for “Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year” in Thomson Reuters’ Asian Legal Business Malaysia Law Awards 2024 & 2026. In the award's 2022 edition, he was named Malaysia's "Young Lawyer of the Year". He has an active corporate & commercial litigation practice. He has navigated high-value disputes relating to shareholder oppression, breach of directors’ duties, commercial contracts & winding-up of companies. His clients include MNCs, PLCs, SMEs & HNWIs across a broad range of industries. Wei Jiet is also particularly adept at constitutional & administrative law. Over the years, he has been entrusted by global organisations such as UN agencies, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association & the Clooney Foundation for Justice to act as amicus curiae & provide critical advice on Malaysian law.
