Canada
Hi, I’m Victoria (she/her)—an early-career professional passionate about climate, technology, impact, and people. I’ve supported customer success programs driving over a billion in revenue at a global software company, designed products from 0 to 1 at an early-stage startup, and led the organization behind some of Canada's largest hackathons empowering thousands of students to pursue a career in technology. My work and ethos has a strong focus on social impact. I’ve organized some of Canada’s largest hackathons—including cmd-f, which champions underrepresented gender students in tech—and contributed my writing to platforms like The Starfish Canada to amplify environmental voices. I’m also an alum of Student Energy’s Career Training Program and Propel Impact's Consulting Program. I’m excited to work in climate at the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre, one of six Low Carbon Cities Canada (LC3) organizations and a leading hub for urban decarbonization and the clean energy transition in Metro Vancouver and beyond, working toward a more sustainable and zero carbon future. Outside of work, you’ll find me on the hunt for Vancouver’s best matcha latte, on a spin bike or Pilates/Yoga mat, reading a memoir or contemporary fiction novel, enjoying nature at a park or watching a PWHL, NSL, NWSL, WBB or CANXNT game (go women’s sports!). Happy to connect and chat if any of this resonates or if you’re curious about any of my past/present ventures! If we haven't met before, please send me a message with your connection request so I can get to know you better! I was also the lead/principal UX/UI/VR designer for all 3 projects. EML is the only lab space of its kind in North America and has been honoured with accolades like the CUCCIO Innovation Award, which celebrates innovative IT projects within Canadian higher education institutions. Some of the EML’s projects (including mine) have also been highlighted in the Horizon Report, Educause’s influential annual publication detailing IT trends in higher education.
