After my internship with Spark Planners, I decided to continue as an event assistant to gain further insights as event staff. I was tasked to help out onsite with the registration of event delegates, management of break-out rooms during conferences and management of onsite logistics.
Spark Planners taught me many things about managing and planning for events such as being the secretariat for international conferences, handling of logistics for events, handling of manpower. I had the pleasure of meeting different clients and had to practice critical thinking while meeting their needs. I was also given the opportunity to meet different delegates from all over the world.
Credence Singapore gave me a glimpse of the finance industry and the importance of financial planning. Through the mentorship opportunity provided during the internship, we were provided guidance for the preparation of a simulated client meeting where we were able to put the things learned into practice. I was able to pick up new knowledge on financial and investment literacy & wealth management. I was also given the chance to take CFMAS papers M5, M9, M9a, and HI.
