👋🏻 I'm Lily. I lead commercial and operational legal work for Sourcegraph and its cutting-edge, AI-powered tools, Code Search and Amp. I'm fortunate to get to do a ton of exciting generalist legal work, too, supporting data privacy, product, and marketing, in addition to my commercial work. A little about what brought me here: My career has taken turns I'd never imagined. I'm lucky enough to have worked as: - Commercial and corporate counsel + legal ops lead for a Fortune 500 company - Commercial counsel for an emerging startup - Global head of an implementation team at a leading CLM - Founder of a legal ops and legal tech consulting company, working with (1) in-house legal teams on their legal ops strategy and legal tech needs, and (2) early-stage legal tech companies to make names for themselves in an overly saturated market. Fun fact: I'm a Sourcegraph boomerang, and proud to be here to see the organization through its next phase of growth. My work philosophy: I believe in-house legal teams should think like tech builders - designing processes, tools, and workflows that scale knowledge and provide top-quality, unmatched legal support. I focus on combining legal ops, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to create clarity and alignment between legal and business teams. The result is faster, more scalable ways of working and all around happier team members. I'm passionate about the future of AI-augmented legal work, and how legal teams can lead innovation instead of reacting to it. DM anytime - let's talk about how to build legal functions that move as quickly as the businesses they serve.
