Worked part-time as a language assistant for around 17-20 first and second year Chinese students every quarter at the University of Chicago. Primarily offered guidance and tutoring for pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversational skills. Participated in the grading process of students.
Assisted in course materials for the fall 2019 class EALC 10512 Topics in EALC: East Asian Cinema.
Worked under the guidance of Professor Paola Iovene of the University of Chicago East Asian Studies Department to organize a screening and panel discussion of Sundance-Film-Festival-selected film Dead Pigs (海上浮城), directed by Cathy Yan. Panelists included PhD student David Wilson, Professor Daniel Morgan (UChicago Cinema and Media Studies Chair), Professor Jason McGrath (University of Minnesota Asian Languages and Literatures), and Professor Paola Iovene. Event kindly sponsored by MAPH and the UChicago Center of East Asian Studies.
