Lieven Deketele obtained a MSc in Applied Engineering Industrial Chemistry in 1996 and a Master in Industrial Management in 2010. He is currently a Director Open Innovation at Procter & Gamble. After a career of 11 years in product development (6 years in R&D product design and new business development, followed by 5 years Connect + Develop), involving the launch of several new to the market products, Lieven was the first P&G'er to be fully dedicated to the field of Logistics R&D, which resulted in the creation of P&G's Supply Network Innovation Center in 2009 and the expansion to the Global Supply Innovation Next Generation team in the following decade. As part of this team, Lieven led cross-functional and cross-company teams creating several supply network and digital solution innovations from conception up to launch. He was also the innovation catalyst and strategist for supply network innovation, leading trends research and innovation programs aimed at long-term value creation. After 14 years of Supply Network Innovation, Lieven returned to Open Innovation / Connect + Develop to accelerate Open Innovation at P&G. Lieven maintains contacts with academia, associations and companies in the field of open innovation, supply network, innovation management etc..
