• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology, aligning program delivery, infrastructure, and partnerships with Canadore’s academic and institutional priorities. • Wrote and led the funding proposal and managed the purchase of three Cessna 172 aircraft, the first new additions to Canadore’s maintenance fleet since the 1980s, modernizing training assets and significantly enhancing hands-on learning opportunities. • Led the evaluation, selection, and acquisition of advanced Flight Simulation Training Devices (DA40 and Dash 8 Q400) to enhance experiential learning. • Implemented a new Aviation Quality Management System to ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and drive continuous improvement. • Provided leadership for initiatives that revitalized recruitment and program reputation, resulting in the Aircraft Maintenance program enrolment increase by 50% and waitlisted for the first time in several years. • Led the development of a successful proposal for a RCAF training partnership supporting Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) training for military personnel. • Lead the School’s business planning process in collaboration with the Academic Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with College-wide strategic initiatives and long-term growth objectives. • Engage with industry partners, program advisory committees, and alumni to strengthen collaboration, drive innovation, and support graduate employability. • Oversee Faculty, Coordinators, Technologists, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork. • Support business development and budget planning within the Aviation portfolio to ensure sustainability and growth.
• Reporting to the President and CEO of Thales Canada, I supported Thales’ Delivery, Innovation and Growth strategies by leading the development and deployment of data-driven decision systems to support Thales’ Execution Excellence initiatives. • Led a cross-functional portfolio which included Quality, Health, Safety & Environment, Facilities, Security and Information Technology functions. • Worked with stakeholders across the business to prepare, attain and maintain ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications at the Ottawa, Halifax and Vancouver sites. • Worked with the North America IS/IT team to develop the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity compliance strategy, in accordance with best practices including ISO 27001 and CMMC. • Designed, implemented and co-administered the internal SharePoint platform. • Optimized performance by working across functions and with North America Shared Services to implement best practices using continual improvement techniques such as Six Sigma and Lean.
