Supported the junior-level biological laboratory courses by assisting the instructors, supervising students, setting up equipment, lab preparation, grading, and teaching essential lab concepts to students.
Led weekly supplemental instruction sessions reviewing challenging concepts in high-risk courses, specifically Organic Chemistry 1 and 2. Used a variety of collaborative learning techniques to facilitate a welcoming and productive learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds.
Worked in Dr. Shou-Jiang Gao’s laboratory to investigate the role of epigenetics (m6A regulation) on KSHV-infected PEL B-cell lines in response to FTO inhibitors. Submitted a proposal and received a CMU SURF Award for research funding during summer 2023. Completed a CMU Biology Honors Research Thesis in Spring 2024 as a presentation of an ongoing research project.
Worked at the IAVI Vaccine Design & Development Laboratory under the mentorship of Maoli Yuan and Dr. Kezhi Dai. Developed an optimized protocol to run SARS-CoV-2 spike proteins and vaccine constructs on the Biotechne Simple Western Jess.
