Liam is an experienced Senior Associate specialising in corporate transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures. He has a focus on public and private M&A in Australia and overseas (particularly APAC) and often advises on matters in the financial services, energy, resources and infrastructure sectors. Liam also has experience in the equity capital markets and governance space, including in respect of capital raisings, board and corporate governance issues and financial services matters. He has acted on a range of transactions within Asia, the US, the UK, Europe and Australia, including initial public offerings on the ASX and the HKEX. Liam is a contributing author of Bootmakers, Boards and Rogues, a book published in 2023 on Corporate and Securities Law. Liam co-authored a chapter on Forecasts in Takeovers, Schemes and IPOs. ASIC Chair Joseph Longo, who wrote the forward for the book, described it as "informative, thought-provoking and rich in analysis and ideas".
