  • Equity Capital Markets & Investor Relations at Webull Financial
    Jul 2021 - Aug 2023 · 2 yrs 2 mos

This internship was very hands-on. I was tasked with researching, calculating and communicating with underwriters the amount of requesting participants Webull had for every IPO and Secondary Offering. I was tasked with preparing pitch decks as well. I had the opportunity to attend calls and meetings over my internship, and even pitch Webull's value to a few underwriters. As well as Equity Capital Markets services, I had the opportunity to further develop Webull's data services by aiding in the creation of an Investor Relations branch (known as Webull Corporate Connect). I was tasked to further develop the idea of what an Investor Relation branch would look like in a retail brokerage (in particular quantifying our value to public companies as data providers for retail investors who comprise 25% of the stock market). This entailed creating business plans, as well as meeting regularly with Webull's development team based in China to develop the Corporate Connect portal for companies. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Equity Capital Market & Investor Relations desk owing to my managers Michael Tang (Associate Director) and Michael Christoph (Director), both of whom I consider mentors. Over the course of my internship, I gained incredibly valuable experience regarding the intricacies of the primary market, quick decision making, and project management skills.

  • Marketing Team at Nasdaq
    Jun 2020 - Nov 2020 · 6 mos

Worked closely with Nasdaq's Indexing and Investment Intelligence teams to generate new partnerships with institutional investors. I was offered an extension to my internship (originally ending in August) as a result of my performance.

  • Financial Trader at Select Vantage inc
    Mar 2019 - Aug 2019 · 6 mos

I interned at Select Vantage as a trainee day trader. I learned how to trade mostly on an in-house paper trading software that emulates the market with a delay of a few milliseconds. Near the end of the internship I was entrusted with company funds to execute trades at the open and close of the market. This was my first venture into the world of investing and I was instantly hooked. I gained experience in strategizing, hedging, and market analysis.
