A driven and ambitious second year BSc Economics student at the University of Birmingham, currently on track to achieve a First-Class Honours degree. Through work experience with Barclays, NatWest, and McQueens Dairies, I have developed strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, while gaining valuable exposure to business analysis, internal audit, and digital transformation. My role at O2 Telefónica further strengthened my confidence in a fast-paced, target-driven and regulated environment, where I consistently focused on delivering strong results and excellent customer outcomes. I am excited to be joining Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance team this September in London as part of their Industrial Placement Programme, where I look forward to continuing to build my experience and develop my skills.

• Worked as a Sales Advisor at O2 Telefonica during a gap year after completing my A-Levels. • Commended for providing excellent customer service to those in need of a phone or a sim only contract. • Utilising my strong passion of achieving and exceeding targets, I helped increase the revenue of the store throughout my tenure. • Worked closely with graduates from NatWest’s Internal Audit (IA) department helping to identify controls/risks and testing the controls in question showcasing my ability to work well within a team. • Led a meeting with fellow work experience colleagues regarding the main functions within NatWest’s IA department and the significance of their function within the bank demonstrating my leadership skills, whilst also ensuring all participants were engaged. • Spoke with the Business Support Manager for IA regarding their contribution to the department’s success which helped me to understand the stages of an audit including the software and data analytics used throughout the department. • Participated in a meeting regarding the IA Graduate Working Group in which I was heavily involved in the initiative which aimed to create a better working environment for current and future graduates. • Listened to a stakeholder walkthrough in which I observed the stakeholder’s process in helping the IA team assess the adequacy of the controls in place – my work also helped lead to one of the key audit findings.
• Spent time with Senior Business Analysts discussing their role within Barclays and the importance of communication skills and time management when delivering projects. • Collaborated with key stakeholders within Barclays who conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks aiding the team’s decision-making processes. • Liaised with summer graduates to find out about careers and opportunities within the company and the banking sector in general.
