Being an experienced consultant on the floor and often an integral and in certain situations the first part of the donor experience, has allowed me to understand the importance of having an exemplary ability in providing great, fulfilling service to our donors and making sure the safety and quality of the product we provide is not compromised to meet those goals. I am accountable in my role to make sure I do everything I can do to meet these standards. My easily approachable nature makes me a great candidate to work and collaborate with people within my team both new and experienced alike and I like forward to the challenge of this role to further enhance my knowledge, skills and career goals. During my time at the blood service I have undertaken a few senior roles, an example of this would be floor walking duties, running weekly team meetings, and in the past I came up with a team game to improved morale and made sure the targets we had were met in a fun and energizing manner. During this role allowed me to display leadership qualities and gave me an opportunity show a willingness to learn, help and answer any questions my fellow colleagues may have. Prior to my employment I have been actively involved in the Tigers baseball Club and during my time I served on the committee both for the club and the entire Whyalla baseball association. I also spent time as a junior coach both teaching and developing the skills required to make a successful team and being a successful leader. These skills, knowledge and experience I’ve learnt can transfer to this role and help my team become successful. I can do this by teaching and being a role model and showing off what it takes to be a successful consultant.
