With over eight years of experience as a director of corporate affairs, I am a versatile and energetic leader who can manage all aspects of reputation and communications. I have a strong track record of delivering impactful stakeholder engagement programmes, securing strategic objectives, and developing brand identity. Currently, I am looking for a new position. I recently worked with the CEO and CCO of Global Airlines, a new UK all A380 start-up that flew earlier in 2024. I also worked closely with senior management on a range of operational, commercial, route development and regulatory initiatives, as well as leading the communications, government relations, policy and sustainability functions.
I recently joined the new UK, all A380 start-up, Global Airlines. Working directly with the CEO and Founder and other senior management on all brand and reputation activity as well as on a range of operational, commercial, route development and regulatory initiatives as its build towards a first flight in late 2024.
I am part of the airport Leadership team and, from International to local levels, have responsibility for communications, government relations, sustainability, corporate responsibility and policy. Key recent achievements include: • Delivered the airport’s new 2030 Sustainability Roadmap and reconfigured internal & partnership delivery functions. • Co-developed the airport 2020-35 masterplan and secured airport objectives working with stakeholders from community groups through to government, regulatory and industry bodies • Developed brand and changed perception from a City focused business airport to evoke the ‘spirit of London’ and appeal to both leisure and business travellers • Sensitively led complex COVID 19 communications campaign dealing with all staff, passengers and stakeholders amid constantly changing circumstances and huge disruption to air travel
I am responsible for the airports government, business and community relations as well as policy, CSR, corporate reporting, strategic communications and supply chain activity. Key achievements: • Securing planning permission for the £370 million City Airport Development Programme in July 2016 from the new Conservative Government during one of the most contentious periods in UK aviation history. • Growing City Airport’s Public Affairs function from something that was entirely locally focussed to something that is now well resourced, has Executive buy-in and engages business and political stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally • Leading on Brexit for the business, and collaborating with key industry partners on growing the evidence base and on lobbying strategies into government • Being awarded with the National Responsible Business of the Year title by the All Party Corporate Responsibility Committee in Westminster • Leading on communications for key LCY stories in 2017 including the airports Digital Control Tower announcement, 30th anniversary celebrations and CEO departure • Owning relationships with key industry, regional and national media outlets that has culminated in increased profile and influence for LCY • Implemented a corporate service that works with key internal stakeholders to develop policy positions, consultation responses and monitors the regulation agenda • Introduced a new Corporate Reporting service that identifies corporate priorities in the fields of Community & Sustainability, sets targets, and reports publicly each year • Programme Redesign of the airports local recruitment initiatives including “Take Off Into Work” that has employed over 500 local people • Innovating and introducing new community programmes, such as our new Pre-16 Work Experience programme, which builds on success, and further strengthens LCY’s Community Agenda
