I am currently working as a mechanical engineer at FPrin LLC where I focus on projects related to design, simulation, and testing of biomedical devices. My background in materials science and engineering gives me a unique perspective on the challenges I encounter. My interests include model based design, 3D printing, and numerical simulation. I can be reached by email at [email protected]
I designed, assembled, and verified a thermo-mechanical test fixture for investigating the mechanical behavior of shape memory alloy (SMA) wires. - Mechanical design of test fixture considering manufacturability and purpose driven design constraints. - Programming of micro controller for convective heating/cooling of SMA wire under closed loop control using PID control theory. - Design of experiment for SMA wire testing considering full, partial, and cyclical phase transformations. - Data processing, analysis, and comparison to numerical models in MATLAB.
Investigated the effectiveness of calcium oxide nano particles as a carbon sequestration material. Utilized AFM and TGA to analyse particle size and composition while exposed to carbon dioxide gas flow at room temperature. Presented research at the Cal Poly summer research symposium during fall quarter 2018.
Supervised pool area often as the only lifeguard on duty and maintained a safe pool environment by communicating pool safety rules to patrons. Performed a rescue in which a child was having difficulty swimming.
