I graduated from the University of Sheffield in the summer of 2017 with a 1st Class MChem (with hons). My final year research project ended up being published in "Journal of Organometallic Chemistry (Volume 877)". Prior to working for Bekaert, I was employed as Quality Co-ordinator within the Solvents division of Brenntag UK & Ireland. My primary role was overseeing the Quality Management System to ensure the site was in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and BRC 8. In my current role I am responsible for ensuring the site is in compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards. This is achieved through working towards KPIs, management of the site's internal audit system, review of current processes and identifying and implementation of improvements, management of complaints and implementation of CAPAs, conducting PFMEAs and training of Quality principles on the shopfloor. In January 2024 I took over supervision of the quality control department, overseeing a team operating across 3 shift patterns. In April 2025 I was promoted to Senior Quality Engineer, taking over responsibility of the quality assurance department. I am also nearing completion of CMI Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship, expected to be achieved in December 2026.
