Department: General Accounting & Reporting (United Kingdom) Work profile: • Coordinate the prompt and accurate recording of financial transactions (e.g. ledger entries, journal postings, etc.) in line with relevant requirements, policies and procedures. • Reconcile the relevant systems and journals and ensure that updates are made accurately and in a timely manner. • Gather, collate and analyse data as necessary in order to prepare and maintain various reports as and when needed. • Resolve or further escalate to any issues faced. • Work closely with accountants to ensure timely submission on error free FBW (Finance Business Warehouse) and support preparation of documents and adjustments for monthly, quarterly and year-end close. • Ensure proper control and compliance on late adjustment submission procedures and during year end closing. • Perform and support balance carried forward and roll-forward activities as part of year end activities. • Create cost centers, profit centers and General Ledgers and maintain master data in SAP. • Provide guidance to accountant on mapping and necessary queries (Mapping issues, Exchange rates issues, Costs Center/Profit Center issues and some ad hoc issues). • Involve and support ad hoc projects or tasks (e.g. support migration of system in SAP) and process improvement initiatives as assign (e.g. digitisation and/or simplification), provide support constantly and fully take up the role as close co-coordinator despite any time constraint. • Review month end and quarter end exchange rates for USD, GBP and EURO currencies, perform variance analysis, reasonableness checks and follow up with services providers or tests/ drills for the exchange rates. • Annual internal audit of current process to ensure compliance with company policies. • Liaise with senior stakeholders internally and externally as and when necessary. • Perform quarterly analytical review. Department: GL team (Malaysia and Singapore) Work profile: • Conduct monthly / year end closing activities. • Perform month end closing for intercompany, Magnitude/Macro reporting. • Review GL accounts, settlements and perform balance sheet reconciliation. • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies. • Posting of journals and master date maintenance.
