Alex Nelson

User experience and design lead for innovation

Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom

About

After spending 15 years leading digital creative projects for charities, start-ups, and corporate brands, Alex left agency life to join BBC Research & Development as Creative Director to explore bold new ways of delivering public services. During the last 5 years Alex designed the organisation’s first innovation platform – BBC Taster, launched the BBC’s early exploration into VR and AR, and brought human-centred innovation processes to the BBC & its partners in the UK, Europe and Asia through the flagship Connected Studio programme. Alex’s personal creative practice is centred around experimenting with generative audio and visuals, unpicking the process of finding art in algorithms.
