OPTICOMP project: Develop a model able to simulate the microscale deposition process to understand better the influence of the different process parameters. Based on these simulations, specifications for the design of the patterns on the wafer can be determined. SICOM 6th Framework Programme: Develop numerical models that help reducing the amount of costs of corrosion testing in development and qualification. In order to be able to develop such model it is crucial to identify and quantify the critical factors that trigger corrosion. The goal of the project is to develop models that allow to numerically simulate corrosion reactions that can occur on Al alloys. Achievements: - Successful completion of two european projects; - Develop a model able to simulate accurately corrosion behaviour of Al alloys; - Give insights into ongoing processes and access information regarding the underlying phenomenas that would not be available otherwise; - Writing and publishing technical articles in peer-reviewed international journals; - Talks at international conferences and symposiums; - Internal and external consultancy on electrochemical simulation matters; - Progress and milestone reporting; - Ensure project deliverables are met within the imposed deadlines; PhD Successfully defended December 2014.
