Organizing a new branch from the bottom up, separating a completely new project from the previous SITACO structures. The main task was to provide our sister company SIG with a new kind of logistic and sales service - comprising 50 branches in Poland. Since SIG plc involved activity in other European countries: the UK, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany - one of my tasks included cross border selling , sourcing and launching production for them ( when it was economically justified). Simultaneously I dealt with export sales to customers outside the SIG group – in Germany, the Czech and Slovak Republic, Lithuania Latvia and Estonia.
As for the position of the technical director in TBS – my main responsibility was to ensure the supply of steel and keeping the continuity of the production process. TBS produced profiles for suspended ceilings. For exceptionally good results I was promoted to manage, in fact, the whole enterprise. It was the moment for me as a technical type to start my real sales adventure.
