I’ve been married for 35 years to the love of my life, Bill Fargotstein. I consider myself incredibly lucky to know that I have loved and been love both now and even before I met my husband. I truly believe that those experiences and memories reflect my strong desire to help others find such a feeling. At the end of the day, despite the misgivings, conflicts or troubling events around our world, love transcends it all. This truth motivates me to share and spread love as a wife, mother, friend and matchmaker. Being a matchmaker is something I have done all my life since growing up in the bootheel of Kennett, Missouri and studying Education & Psychology at the University of Alabama and University of Missouri. One of 15 women selected to participate in a two-year leadership development program designed to create new leaders for Hadassah and the Jewish Community. Focused on and learned about leadership skills, social issues, advocacy and community involvement. Responsible for creating and implementing a social action project at the completion of the two year program. Through this project participants were responsible for identifying areas within the community that needed collective involvement to implement improvements and awareness. Program culminated in a trip to Israel with other HLA members from across the United States ➢ Planned, marketed and executed a fashion show and luncheon at Temple Israel to raise funds for The Hadassah Medical Organization and stem cell research. A collaborative effort. ➢ Promoted the event, developed promotional material, wrote articles for newspapers, and coordinated advertising ➢ Collaborative effort to bring in a famous Israeli model, local models and local retailers to bring name recognition to event
