Hello everyone! My name is Lesli (she/her). Others would describe me as a very dedicated, organized, and dependable individual, who faces all tasks with optimism and determination. I am always eager to learn and collaborate with others. I am passionate about computer science, giving back to my community, art, and badminton. I have experience in Java, Python, C++, HTML, CSS, and ARM Assembly as well as experience working with servers, teaching computer science and mathematics, debugging code, and research. In regards to my future aspirations, I hope to serve in a role where I can encourage others who may struggle with self-doubt or intimidation to pursue their own goals.
• Establish a new web server for the university’s computer science website by installing and configuring Apache as well as migrating data from previous server to the new server. • Maintain hardware and software by performing monthly updates, program installation, and troubleshooting. • Create, modify, and maintain users and their privileges on Linux systems to ensure accessibility and security.
• Enhance student’s comprehension of programming concepts in but not limited to Java, Python, C++, and Assembly by adapting to student’s learning style when clarifying and instructing. • Analyze and debug a minimum of 4 students’ programs per week, while providing critical feedback. • Establish an optimistic and encouraging environment to boost student confidence and performance.
• Maintained and improved internal-use Oracle Digital Assistant chatbot by manipulating YAML code and developing 2 new features that support feedback and product specific content. • Prepared reports on existing Oracle chatbots in relation to performance, functionality, features, and implementation.
I learned how to build a WordPress website, complete with weekly blogging and multiple form creations, designed to pull users in from social media posts highlighting my blog material. Through online forms, users subscribed to my weekly email as well as completed additional destination goals, which were all tracked through Google Analytics. Weekly auditing of these analytics, along with social platform and email analytics helped me create digital online strategy through a live online practicum of created and curated content around a topic of my choice. Creating my own brand, I learned how to build an online marketing campaign that drives online lead generation.
• Increased brand loyalty of a minimum of 50 customers by directing a customer-oriented project in which t-shirts were shipped in celebration of new CRM system integrations. • Boosted Instagram following by 100 followers by parsing through customer lists and following their accounts.
