Hi! I’m Lesley Ray, an interior designer/violinist and the founder of BrainHome. Growing up as a violinist, I spent my formative years performing with Emmy-winning composers and Grammy-winning rockstars Pat Benatar and Jon Anderson of Yes, along with Mike Garson (David Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins) and Styx. For 14+ years, I designed multimillion-dollar luxury homes for private clients and offices for global tech companies in Silicon Valley and beyond. These experiences led me to BrainHome, where we're building Wellness Architecture.
The doctor sees you for 15 minutes a year. Your home sees you for 6,000 hours. BrainHome® is building the intelligence layer that makes those hours count — correlating environmental factors (noise, light, CO2) with biometrics like HRV to show how your home is actually affecting your health.
Lesley Ray Design is a full-service Interior Design studio based in San Francisco, serving clients throughout California & beyond. We partner with inspiring clients to design sustainable, livable homes that distinctly reflect their lifestyle & serve as a creative backdrop to fuel their imagination. We approach every project with a collaborative curiosity to ensure the end result is functional, thoughtful, & highly-personalized.
Lesley worked directly with clients to lead design and project management for multi-million dollar corporate interiors projects ranging from 5,000 sqft - 150,000 sqft, with budgets ranging from $3m-$50m+. Complexity of projects include everything from minor cosmetic refresh to comprehensive gut renovations, coordination of multiple trades and new construction.
Lesley worked closely with senior designers to implement design intent and project coordination as needed.
Lesley worked closely with the USGBC National Board and local Executive Board to develop the first USGBC Central Ohio Emerging Professionals Group. She began this process in the last year of her undergraduate studies and remained an active member throughout her professional career in Columbus, OH. The purpose of this group is to provide a point of entry for recent graduates into the local professional community with an emphasis on sustainability.
