I am a communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communication across various sectors. I currently work at the CSIR within the National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA), a national programme that supports the industrial sector's transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy. As part of my role, I am responsible for crafting key messages on various platforms, including social media, publications, website, articles, and mailers. I also manage NCPC-SA's digital marketing and content, as well as event management for webinars, workshops, and conferences. I have developed and implemented communication strategies and plans aligned with NCPC-SA's vision, mission, and objectives, enhancing its brand awareness and reputation among stakeholders and partners. I have also contributed to the production and dissemination of several publications and reports on cleaner production, energy efficiency, water management, and circular economy.
Provide communication support to the executive team and ensure that all necessary communication reaches the right audience. Compiling overarching communication strategy, plans for campaigns and project plans. Ensuring an alignment in communication objectives from a group perspective. Ensure that all content has been reviewed and adheres to the following minimum quality standards: relevant to the target audience, suitable for the platform or channel used, contribute to the achievement of specific objectives, accurate and validated, aligned with the firm’s positioning and brand, written in the correct writing style, co-ordinated with other communication to internal stakeholders. Design and distribute campaign collateral (email, video, sms, posters, infographics etc.) to the relevant audience.
