Leader of savings ideation team for the IGS business by performing Value Engineering and Component Engineering activities involving statistical tools (DFSS) in different type of conveyors and chutes of Honeywell, being the most important: Tilt Tray, Belt, V Belt, Cross Belt & Shoe. • Reviewing CAD and CAE simulations of the team, resulting in a 30% of time reduction in the design process by generating a reviewer’s chain in NX PDM and a design checklist. • Implementation of DFSS tools and usage of DVP&R format for all design changes having 70% of effectiveness between plant and sourcing teams in cost reduction projects that required considerable amount of testing.
Responsible for the launch of the new products such as the ES-1000 Fire Alarm System (bigger in its category). Also in the mechanical design release and maintenance of the FRP-75, FRP-2100, FRP-2100ECS and FIK RAL200REL panels. • Leveling of the engineering design team in a 100% in the usage of GD&T concepts and symbols by giving a course in which different areas participated having as a result the standardization of the drawings processes. • Executing successfully Agile Methodology by being scrum master of the ES-1000, achieving the release of the mechanical portion 2 weeks before the due date by managing and having good communication with the team and the activities of the sprints they were performing.
Coordinator and main contact between suppliers and plant for correct design changes implementation and application for Nissan 2020. Analyzing current vehicle condition and savings generation. • Coordinating and being the main contact between suppliers, plant and design team for testing plans and parts design for future model years (23MY and further) reducing 75% of delays by doing frequent plant and suppliers facilities for their reviews. • Performing dynamic analysis and generate solution for current models generating 85% of approval of vehicle noise in 2020 and 2021 models by relating digital analysis with physical ones.
Launching support for the Infinity QX50 2018 and Sentra 2020 (New models) and responsible for the NP-300 Frontier line. Leading and coordinating changes that involved different systems and communicating with other localities (JPN mainly) to discuss the different requirements of each market. • Achieving the release with a 100% of effectiveness, the weight management, posture analysis and general dimensions of the 2018 Infinity QX50 by having performing the calculations and leading negotiations with other design teams. • Generating an identification process for safety regulations (NCAP, LNCAP, IIHS, etc.) that reduced 50% of planning time by determining which vehicles needed updates regarding the new safety protocols.
