As the Managing Director (Backoffice) at OTTO Payments, I, Leon, oversee a broad spectrum of critical back-office functions including Finance, AML, Risk, Governance, Compliance, HR, Operations and Internal Audit. OTTO Payments is one of Europe's largest regulated payment service providers, handling a multi-billion Euro payment volume annually. The company received its license from BaFin (German Federal Office for Financial Services Supervision) allowing it to process all payments and offer various payment options to merchants and marketplace partners. Leading a dedicated team of over 100 specialists, my focus is on ensuring robust and efficient processes that underpin our regulated operations. I am particularly passionate about and open to discussions on Non-Performing Loans, Risk Management, Refinancing strategies, Compliance frameworks, IT Governance, and innovative solutions shaping the Payment & Banking landscape. Beyond my role at OTTO Payments, I actively contribute to the broader Payment & Banking industry through various engagements, including serving as a Board Member of the BVZI e. V.
