I’m a data-driven technologist focused on building scalable, high-performance systems that turn complex data into reliable, production-ready solutions. My work centers around data engineering and cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora. I design and optimize data pipelines and database architectures to handle real-time workloads, improve performance, and reduce operational costs. I enjoy working on problems where scale and efficiency matter — whether that’s tuning databases, optimizing queries, improving system reliability, or designing architectures that can grow with the business. I also share insights from my work publicly, including speaking at conferences like Data TLV, where I presented on Aurora PostgreSQL and cost optimization strategies. What drives me: • Building systems that actually work in production • Solving performance and scalability challenges • Continuously learning and improving Always open to conversations around data, cloud infrastructure, and system design.
• Architected and scaled 100+ production data clusters across 13 AWS regions, operating under SOC 2, FedRAMP, and strict data residency constraints. • Owned workload-driven architecture decisions across Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, Redis, DynamoDB, ClickHouse, and Athena — aligning storage engines to OLTP, analytics, and high-concurrency workloads. • Led company-wide OLTP performance engineering, including deep PostgreSQL tuning (query optimization, autovacuum strategy, indexing, concurrency control) and read/write path optimization at scale. • Designed and implemented self-healing and auto-remediation infrastructure, significantly reducing production incidents and MTTR. • Delivered $1.5M+ annual cloud cost reduction through FinOps-driven architectural optimization across databases, storage, and compute layers. • Established cross-team data platform standards across observability, reliability, and performance — improving system predictability and engineering efficiency.
• Provided technical leadership on database design, optimization, and best practices. • Led cross-team migration from TimescaleDB to ClickHouse, improving performance and cost efficiency. • Delivered rapid, high-quality solutions for customer needs, balancing speed with technical quality. • Created documentation on schema migrations, indexing, and performance tuning. • Influenced architectural design, sprint planning, and technical direction to align data solutions with company goals.
• Pioneered data management in the company by setting up foundational database infrastructure, including secure backups and migrating the primary database from AWS EC2 to a managed RDS solution (Using logical replication) • Implementing secure db access to all company Databases, achieving near-zero downtime for production changes, migrations and upgrades. • Built over 10 PostgreSQL databases (which scaled up to 10TB each) with advanced features like partitions and cross-database querying. • Conducted yearly DB audits for regulatory compliance and quaterly reviews for query optimization, indexing, and table structure. • Developed schema migration tools (Liquibase) to accelerate developer workflows and automated backup mechanisms. • Enhanced connection handling with RDS Proxy and researched database technologies to optimize cost and performance.
Behaving as the go-to person for any database issue/ problem/ guidance or design request Building and automating tools to solve time consuming tasks. Managing over 100 databases on AWS platform of PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS & Aurora technologies. Guiding and teaching engineering teams with db best practices and on AWS tooling. Running POC's of new databases and monitoring tools, investigating and evaluating new db and AWS features and releases.
