Operational Strategies includes new location search and selection, including new geographies. Due diligence responsibility for evaluating Operations in acquisition targets.
Reporting to President and CEO of $2.1 billion global Cable, Connectivity, Industrial Automation, and Cybersecurity organization. Executive-level responsibility for Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Advanced Engineering, and Lean-Enterprise functions for the corporation.
In addition to the job responsibilities listed for the position below, functional leadership for Global Supply Chain and Danaher Business System (DBS) for Leica Biosystems, including four Business Units, three Selling Units, nine manufacturing locations, and 26 shipping locations. Global Supply Chain duties include the leading the following functions – Sourcing, Planning, Order Management, and Distribution. DBS responsibilities include leading Lean-Enterprise deployment, discipline, and improvement across the Company. Results included three warehouse consolidations (one NA, two EU), tripling the Sourcing pipeline, and SIOP implementation for Instrumentation.
Functional leadership responsibility for the Richmond, IL and Eisfeld, Germany Core Histology Business Unit's Manufacturing and Distribution operations. Site Leadership responsibility for R&D, Product Management, RA/QA, HR, and Finance. Results included development of a multi-year EHS improvement plan for the location, improvement in Customer-Delivery processes with OTD increasing from 90% to 97%, and improvement in OMEX by 310bps during the first full-year in Site Leader role.
Global Manufacturing Operations Leadership for Anatomical Pathology Business Unit. Five locations in three Countries (USA, UK, Germany). Focus areas include Staff Leadership Development, Order Fulfillment, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and New Product Development. Functional responsibilities include Site Leadership, Global Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, Project Management, and Operational Excellence.
P&L responsibility for the USA operations of the Pathology Business Unit, consisting of 3 locations, 320 employees and $160 million in annual revenue. Business focus is on the manufacturing and distribution of various chemical reagents and specialty stains, and on the distribution and servicing of scientific instruments – all used in tissue testing for cancer diagnosis. Accomplishments include introducing and driving process improvement in Customer-facing processes.
