Scientist with a background in biochemistry and a PhD in molecular biology. When solving problems, whether in research, feed composition, or farming operations,I believe real understanding comes from combining the macroscopic view with the microscopic one. Communicating research results and making them accessible to a wider audience is important to me. I bring experience from teaching and consultancy work into my role as a researcher. 🏢 Researcher at Nofima, Aquaculture Division, Fish Health Research Department. I am especially interested in finding the core of any problem often hidden in the molecular mechanisms of the cell, the organization of tissue, or the interaction with pathogens. However, I also value seeing the bigger picture and how these factors together influence fish health and welfare. 🎓 Education & Qualification PhD in Molecular Biology, University of Bergen (UiB), 2018 Dissertation: “Aquaculture relevant stressors and their impacts on skin and wound healing in post-smolt Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.)” MSc in Biochemistry, NMBU (2009) Practical Pedagogical Education, NMBU (2010)
