I lead UCEAP academics and design study abroad courses.
Managed multilingual projects, working with a variety of clients and suppliers. Responsible for in-house translation of texts, presentations, and websites from Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese to English, as well as copyediting and academic editing. Proficient in CAT tools, TMS, and managing translation assets.
Designed and taught courses in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures, both in person and through leveraging digital tools and the LMS to deliver high-quality interactive online courses. Further responsibilities included writing peer-reviewed publications based on my original qualitative research, directing student projects and theses, and leading professionalization workshops for graduate student teachers.
Taught courses on languages and cultures, managed language learning assessments on the LMS, and supervised, coordinated and mentored five assistant Spanish teachers.
While earning my PhD, I taught language and culture courses as instructor of record and collaborated with tenured faculty to develop new courses. I conducted research in local and international archives and libraries to publish my research and develop my dissertation. I gained additional experience in language pedagogy through proctoring and evaluating student placement exams.
