Bachelor’s thesis student in the Schindler Group at the Institute for Medical Virology and Epidemiology of Viral Diseases, working on the mechanism of a commensal-derived antiviral peptide.
Summer research internship in the Brierley Group, funded through the Amgen Scholars Program. Contributed to a project on viral non-canonical translation and presented the work at the European Amgen Scholars Symposium, receiving the runner-up poster prize among the Cambridge cohort.
Contributed to a structural biology project in the Hällberg Group investigating the mitochondrial and nuclear role of Topoisomerase 3α. Gained experience in recombinant protein expression and purification, with introductory exposure to cryo-EM sample preparation and downstream data processing.
